RightCyberUp.org: Recovery from the International Churches of Christ (ICC,
ICOC)
RightCyberUp provides
recovery information for the benefit of International Church of Christ (ICC,
ICOC) former members, current ICC disciples, their loved ones and
friends.
The International
Churches of Christ, once known as the Boston Church of Christ or "Boston
Movement", was founded in 1979 in Lexington, Massachusettes by Kip McKean. The
ICC has been surrounded by controversy and and has been called a cult. Today,
the ICC's largest congregations, based on ICC attendance figures, are the Los
Angeles International Church of Christ, New York City Church of Christ, Boston
Church of Christ, Chicago Church of Christ, Atlanta Church of Christ,
Johannesburg Church of Christ, Mexico City Church of Christ, International
Church of Christ of Sao Paulo, Hong Kong Church of Christ, Metro Manila
Christian Church, Lagos Christian Church, Moscow Church of Christ and Kiev
Church of Christ, but there are hundreds of others. The ICC movement currently
has no affiliation from the mainline Churches of Christ, from which it arose,
or the United Church of Christ.
